Whether you choose to birth in the hospital or at home, my role is to help you manage the intensity of labor’s pains, challenges and celebrations while your midwives, nurses and doctors manage the clinical aspects of your labor.

After the birth of your baby, my postpartum care helps to:
- provide education and support in infant and mother care;
- process, nurture and protect the memory of your birth experience;
- provide practical and hands-on information about breastfeeding and references to local lactation consultants and breastfeeding support groups;
- identify signs of postpartum depression and refer to local counseling and support services
My services include:
- Two prenatal and two postpartum visits
- On call for your labor two weeks before and after your due date
- Labor/birth attendance from the first signs of labor until two hours after birth
- Backup doula in the unlikely event of an emergency
- Phone and email consultations
- Access to lending library
